Instructional Programs

As integrative practitioners, naturopathic physicians subscribe to a philosophy that regards the body as an integrated whole, with structures and functions working interdependently. As an extension of this philosophy, naturopathic physicians treat each patient as a unique biological, physiological, psychological and sociological entity-- an approach that underscores the Integrative naturopathic commitment to patient/cause-oriented versus disease symptom-oriented health care. In recognition of this approach, Central States College of Health Sciences has developed and continues to refine its curriculum, as it educates students in the Integrative bio-psycho-social approach to patient care, as well as in the basic medical arts and sciences.

Within this unique and innovative curricular format. CSCHS students spend 4 semesters completing a rigorous integrative naturopathic academic sciences curriculum. and through a variety of instructional experiences. accrue the skills needed to deal with today's Integrative health care delivery challenges.

By stimulating intellectual curiosity and teaching problem solving-skills, the CSCHS curriculum encourages Integrative medical students to regard learning as a lifelong process.
